Help support our annual Halloween Costume Exchange during Lafayette Mini Con! This popular community event gives residents the opportunity to donate gently used costumes at City facilities throughout the month of September, culminating in this free costume distribution event to find something new (to you!) for Halloween. This is a great opportunity to support a fun community tradition, help families prepare for Halloween, and promote sustainability through costume reuse. Volunteer Responsibilities: -Assist with event setup, including arranging tables and organizing costume displays. -Help sort and arrange collected costumes by size, type, or age group as needed. -Monitor the costume exchange area throughout the event. -Welcome and assist residents in finding costumes and navigating the exchange process. -Ensure participants follow exchange guidelines and do not take more costumes than allowed. -Restock display tables and rotate costumes throughout the event. -Maintain a clean, organized, and safe event space. -Assist with event cleanup and teardown at the end of the day. -Help pack and prepare any remaining costumes for donation to Sister Carmen Community Center.
