Education Program - Adults
We’ll begin with a 30 minute talk that discusses the marvels of hummingbirds, the four different hummingbird species that we can find in Colorado, and their migration patterns. Afterwards, we’ll look for Broad-tailed and Black-chinned Hummingbirds at Greenlee Wildlife Preserve. We’ll also discuss the different native plants that can attract hummingbirds and share tips on hummingbird feeder maintenance.

Jane has been a bird guide for over 2 years in the Denver area. She leads a Mindful Birdwatching course at Denver Botanic Gardens, an active volunteer for the Denver Front Range Chapter of the Feminist Bird Club and Denver Audubon. She is an advocate for birds, Mother Nature, and how birding can benefit mental health. She’s passionate about teaching others how to identify birds, why birds are cool, and how birding is for everyone!
