On our hour-long bird outing, we’ll look for resident and migratory bird species that have started to arrive in the spring, including swallows, hummingbirds, hawks, and many more. We’ll discuss what makes Lafayette a “Bird City” and then we’ll empower the community with action in picking up litter at Waneka Lake.

Jane L - Program Leader
Jane has been a bird guide for over 2 years in the Denver area. She leads a Mindful Birdwatching course at Denver Botanic Gardens, an active volunteer for the Denver Front Range Chapter of the Feminist Bird Club and Denver Audubon. She is an advocate for birds, Mother Nature, and how birding can benefit mental health. She’s passionate about teaching others how to identify birds, why birds are cool, and how birding is for everyone!
