Exploring Nature Through our Senses

Education Program - Children

A hands-on bird outing that aims to inspire and educate why it’s important to take care of Mother Earth. We’ll practice using our five senses to explore the marvels of nature, and we’ll teach the principles of Leave no Trace. Ages 5-10 but siblings welcome. Children must be accompanied by a guardian.

Jane has been a bird guide for over 2 years in the Denver area. She leads a Mindful Birdwatching course at Denver Botanic Gardens, an active volunteer for the Denver Front Range Chapter of the Feminist Bird Club and Denver Audubon. She is an advocate for birds, Mother Nature, and how birding can benefit mental health. She’s passionate about teaching others how to identify birds, why birds are cool, and how birding is for everyone!
