Lafayette Open Space proudly hosts a wide range of species across its diverse landscape. Come out and get to know a few of your neighbors! From the charismatic state grass, to non-native species with surprising stories, there are so many plants to get to know. Bring water, layers, and good walking shoes. The route can be modified to accommodate a wide range of physical abilities.

Basil B - Program Leader
Basil is a lover of nature, of learning, and of making people feel welcome in nature. From invasive species to local queer history, they specialize in stories that don't often get told in nature programming. Basil is proud to be working with the City of Lafayette through his business, Growth Point, to provide high quality information and accessible programming for the community, because open space is for everyone.
