Education Program - Adults

You can support native pollinating insects and migratory birds – right at home by growing native water-wise plants. Naturalist and gardener Dave Sutherland will give you a tour of the xeriscape garden at the Lafayette fire house, and share tips for creating backyard bird and insect habitat so you can enjoy Colorado’s native ecosystem in your own yard. Be prepared to receive handouts and free native plant seeds. Dave will share 28 years of successes and failures – and some hilarious mistakes.
